Controversial Traditional Religion Activist Arrested: Nigerian Police Detain Ezeaku Over Criticism of Pastor's Alleged Fake Miracle.

In a dramatic turn of events, Anambra State-based traditional religion preacher, Mathias Ezeaku, has been apprehended by the Nigerian Police Force. Ezeaku, known for his outspoken criticism of pastors and their alleged fake miracles, faced arrest after challenging Pastor Ebuka Obi's claim of a 50-day fast without food.

The arrest unfolded at a community town hall in Nkpor, near Onitsha, where Ezeaku's worship center is located. Shockingly, the police operation resulted in gunfire, injuring a member of the center. Ezeaku and his followers resisted arrest, capturing the chaotic scene in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

Ezeaku, operating a traditional worship center, has been a vocal critic of various pastors, accusing them of making boastful and unsubstantiated claims. The preacher's Sunday morning arrest at his worship center sparked protests from his followers, who marched to the Police Annex in Awkuzu to decry the lack of proper identification and arrest warrants presented by the police operatives.

Sources reveal that Ezeaku has been transferred to Force Headquarters in Abuja, allegedly orchestrated by pastors he has criticized for their questionable miracles. The controversial preacher has consistently challenged Pastor Ebuka Obi, demanding proof of the claimed 50-day fast and challenging the authenticity of alleged healing miracles.

Despite attempts to contact the Anambra State Police Command for comment, the Command's spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, remained unreachable at the time of reporting.

This arrest raises concerns about freedom of expression and religious criticism, prompting a closer look at the dynamics between traditional beliefs and mainstream religious practices in Nigeria. Below is a video clip of the arrest.
